Accounts Assistant

Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant

Part time role (12-16 hours per week)

Bubblegum Balloons are recruiting to expand our accounts team – this is a key role in our growing company. Bubblegum Balloons is an exciting, young and dynamic company who are rapidly growing with an incredible client roster including Celebrities, High End Brands, Luxury Venues and Royalty.

Supporting the finance department, you will be responsible for the management of the credit control function and sales ledger invoicing along with other accounting tasks as required by the finance team and senior management.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • Contacting customers to chase any overdue invoices
  • Liaising with the sales team to resolve any invoice queries
  • Processing all sales invoices on Xero to ensure they are correctly coded and emailing out to customers
  • Emailing customer account statements at month end
  • Setting up new customer accounts and carrying out credit checks
  • Taking card payments over the phone
  • Preparing weekly credit control reports
  • Maintaining up to date customer records on Xero
  • Providing support to the finance team to cover holidays

 

Skills required:

 

  • Previous Credit Control experience
  • Excellent communication skills to build good relationships with customers
  • Attention to detail and numerical accuracy essential
  • Xero experience desirable but full training will be given
  • Sound knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
